1.Drill:

Objective: From a disorganized condition, positioning to diagonal play

Organization: 25 cones

Dimensions: 30×60 m.

Duration: 4 minutes

Description: players jogging (1,3,5). Double pass in from of the cone and:

  • Positioning to diagonal play (2)
  • Move into edge attack (4)
  • Getting behind (6)

Observation:

  • After Double pass, players sprint to positions!
  • The attacking direction is shown by the left side arrow.

2.Drill:

Objective: From a disorganized condition, positioning to diagonal play

Organization: 4 cones + 1 ball

  • max 10 players

Duration: 4 minutes

Dimensions: 20×20 m.

Description: players jogging. Coach blows the whistle. The white players (below) position diagonally to the black players. Another whistle from coach. The players jog on.

Observation:

  • The direction of the attack is defined by the ball’s placement.
  • Black player is illustrated by the T1.
  • Eyes on the ball while running!

3.drill:

Objective: From a disorganized condition, positioning to diagonal play

Organization: 4 cones

  • max 10 players

Duration: 4 minutes

Dimensions: 20×20 m.

Description:

Players jogging. The coach says a name „A”. The players position diagonally with respect to the players named by the coach. At one position more than one player can be present. New whistle, and the players run on.

The direction if attack is always the one to where the named player is looking.

4.drill: 

Objective: Passing, after passing, positioning to diagonal attacking play

Organization: Ball at the participants’ half.

Duration: 4 minutes

Dimensions: entire pitch

Description: Players jog on the entire pitch. Ball with a few players who are carrying ball.

The responsibility of the one with the ball: passing the ball and immediate positioning to diagonally attacking play. The passing player asks for the ball back, and the drill starts anew.

After 2 minutes switch roles.
